Gilcrux Village Hall

As well as being available for private hire for Wedding receptions, Christenings and other functions, the fully renovated Village Hall hosts a wealth of village events and classes. See the Gilcrux Village Hall page.

Gilcrux Village Shop

The small shop, located on the lane down the side of the Barn Bistro, near the Beeches Caravan Park, sells newspapers, milk, bread and essentials. Post Office facilities. Gilcrux honey and free range eggs are sometimes available.

Open 9 am to 11 am on weekdays and 9 am to 10 am on Saturday and Sunday.

Taxis

Rural Wheels

For residents. Rural Wheels is a unique transport scheme for people in rural areas. It provides transport from home to your nearest town or Public Transport connection. You need to be registered and to pre-book your taxi the day prior to your journey. Taxi fares are subsidised at 45 p per mile. Transport is available Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 6.00pm.
