Catbells is a fell (hill) situated on the western shore of Derwentwater around three miles from the busy tourist town of Keswick. It has a modest height of 451 m (1,481 ft) but despite this it is one of the most popular fells in the area.

The nearest town to Catbells is Keswick. The nearest villages are Portinscale, a popular starting point for the walk up the fell, and Grange in Borrowdale.
