This November, step into the warmth and beauty of Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house for our much-loved Winter Craft Fair. Wander through the historic rooms of this nationally important house, transformed into an atmospheric showcase of exceptional, handmade gifts by local artisans and craftspeople.

Discover unique pieces of jewellery, ceramics, textiles, leatherwork, woodcraft, homeware and more – all thoughtfully made by talented makers and artisans from across Cumbria and beyond.

Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift, something meaningful for your home, or simply want to support slow, sustainable craftsmanship, this craft fair is perfect for a festive day out.

Take time to explore the house and gardens, enjoy seasonal treats in our Tea Room, and buy directly from makers in a setting steeped in design legacy and creativity.

Confirmed Makers for 2025 include:

• Bob Bryant from Humblewood specialising in Handcrafted wooden homewares
• Lauren Reid the mastermind behind Lauren Frost Ceramics who handcrafts pieces inspired by nature
• Kate Lavender from North Lakes Stained Glass
• Fabulous Fripperies who specialise in textiles, appliqué, felting and knitting
• Beth Booker part of Purple Dragon Workshops showcasing their handmade jewellery, textiles, art and more
• Karen Britton owner of KARRIE Knitwear
• Monica Metsers will be back with her amazing fine art paintings and prints
• Tony Morgan from Morgan Leather
• Sara Turton from JaLoJo offering woven goods and have a go at weaving demos
• Nicholas Hobbs with furniture inspired by Arts & Crafts traditions
• Elaine Monaghan from Pendula showcasing their botanical jewellery and silk accessories
• Una Aynsley from Lakeland Mosaics
• Catriona Orr from Esk collected where you can find nature-inspired textiles, art, greeting cards and more
• More makers will be announced over the coming months

Entry: Adult craft fair ticket £8 | *Concessions available, Annual Pass holders and Lakeland Arts Members go free
