The Dock Museum is a unique building in a stunning coastal setting built within a Victorian Graving Dock. Incorporating three floors, the original Victorian dock provides an impressive backdrop to the galleries.
The Museum tells the story of Barrow-in-Furness through displays, ship models, graphics, film shows and interactives.

The landscaped waterfront site has an adventure playground, public works of art and walkways linked to the Cumbria Coastal way.
Opposite the Museum is BAE Systems Marine ship building hall, the largest in Europe.
The museum’s facilities include: Fully accessible, Lift to all floors, The Bridge café, Gift Shop, Free parking, Education Service, and Free Guided Tour.

The Dock Museum is a great day out for all the family and is free for all to explore

Wednesday to Sunday, from 11:00 – 16:00. Last admission is at 15:30.
