Fisherground Lodges Eskdale
Fisherground Lodges are set in a tiny lodge park in Eskdale, in the magical landscape of the Western Lake District. Quieter than the better known resorts areas of the south and north Lakes, this area is home to dramatic Wastwater, England’s deepest lake, dark starry skies, abundant wildlife and some of the best walking in the Lake District.
Close to Fisherground lodges, the Ravenglass & Eskdale mini steam railway is definitely worth a visit, taking you on a Narnia-like journey up to 7 miles up and down the valley, with several stops to get off for stunning walks, waterfalls and Lakeland streams. Other attractions include historic Muncaster Castle and the sandy beach at Drigg.
There are five excellent Lakeland Inns serving good food and real ale within 2.5 miles of Fisherground lodges, the closest being only a short stroll away. Bike hire and multiple outdoor activities are available at West Lakes Adventure just 2.5 miles away.
Fisherground lodges are set around a tranquil pond. Facilities on this quiet site include a kids’ adventure playground, an indoor games room (subject to covid restrictions), rafting on the pond, laundry facilities and WiFi.
Prices shown are for seven days from low season to high season excluding Christmas and New Year. Published January 2022.
