Fishing on stocked waters

Fisheries & Stocked Waters in the Lake District & Cumbria

Cumbria & the Lake District offer some fantastic fishing for both Trout and Coarse fish on stocked waters. Predominant species include Trout, Pike, Perch, Roach and Eels. They are set amidst some of the most breath taking scenery to be found anywhere in the country.

Some fisheries are small and secluded and often require a short hike to gain access, however others are very prominent and stretch over hundreds of acres and offer boat fishing as well as accommodating anglers that prefer to fish from the bank. The majority of these waters are leased by fishing clubs and are available on day tickets.

There are also manned fisheries that offer professional help and instruction to beginners and children alike. Often these fisheries are the first port of call for the visiting angler. Book a day with a qualified instructor or guide and receive the best introduction possible to the UK’s most popular sport. These one stop waters also provide rod and tackle hire as well as the necessary rod licences at a reasonable price.
