In Kirkby Stephen there will be a Food Market, Arts and Crafts stalls and Conservation Organisations and you can visit Stainmore Railway.

Entertainments include Kirkby Stephen Silver Band, Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling and Clog Dancing.

Some of the activities are bookable at the Upper Eden Visitor Centre in Market Street. Call in or phone 017683 71199 for more information.

Lady Anne Clifford in the Westmorland Dales

To celebrate Westmorland Dales Day 2019 there will also be a very entertaining theatrical performance based on Lady Anne Clifford at the time of her re-building of Pendragon Castle in 1661. Lady Anne will also visit Kirkby Stephen for the first time on a journey from her Castle in Mallerstang.

The performance is devised, written and performed by professional actor/director Lisa O’Hanlon and members of Lune Springs Players together with musician, Carolyn Francis.
