Preparing to Meditate
Meditation is essential for human happiness because the real source of happiness is inner peace, and inner peace comes from meditation.
However the success of our meditation depends upon our making good preparations. Just as we need to prepare carefully for a dinner party if it is to be a success, so we need to prepare carefully for meditation if we are to experience good results.
In these 3 classes, learn how to:
· create an uplifting meditation space with a shrine
· calm the mind with breathing meditation
· empower the mind with special prayers for meditation
Each class consists of guided meditations and teachings with advice for busy daily life. The class will be followed by free refreshments and a chance to ask questions.
Venue: Grange Institute, Main Street, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 6DP
Class fee: £5, no need to book in advance.
