Walney Wildlife Day
Walney Wildlife Day will be a fun event for all the family! Come join us for guided walks around the reserve, seal cinema, ‘Stranded on Foulney’ walk, indoor and outdoor activities and plenty of arts and crafts!
There will be a huge choice of things to do… something for everyone!
– ‘Stranded on Foulney’ – these guided walks will be run by our Reserves Officer Pete Jones and will feature a walk over to Foulney Island where you will be ‘stranded’ by the high tide so you can see the waders flock by. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book onto this walk. Please note the group will leave at 11:30 am and will return 3:30 pm.
– A hide tour, this will feature 5 hides, each manned by an intelligent nature enthusiast who will be on hand to identify any wildlife spotted. Each hide will also have a fun children’s activity… complete all 5 activities and win a good bag!
– Visitor’s centre fun! Our visitors centre will be filled with fun crafty activities such as making jellyfish, mask making and face painting. There will also be a seal cam cinema, raffle and refreshments.
Please bring your reusable mugs and a packed lunch as we’ll only have snacks and hot drinks available to purchase.
Sorry no dogs.
