Two Day Wilderness Survival Course
Spending that unplanned night out in the outdoors is always daunting. Always be prepared – learn the skills to be self-sufficient in the wild and implement them in our reality-based two day bushcraft and survival training experience in the Lake District.
This is run as a group course open for mixed bookings, suitable for individuals.
With hands on learning to hone your skills over this extended period, you will leave with the confidence that you now own those skills to put them to use when it really matters. Even though you will have access to a highly experienced Survival Instructor throughout, this is a real opportunity to focus your learning and make those skills become second nature. You will also be supported with the necessary items to aid in your survival including buckets of tea and mountains of biscuits!
Over the course of our two days together in a wilderness setting, the key skills of survival will be taught and put into practice. Bushcraft fundamentals will be covered, including the following:
Shelter, Fire, Water, Food, Navigation, Signalling, Tools, Medical
Location: This survival training course is run from our fixed camp deep in the forest on the shores of Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District.
Our site is located at Dog Kennel Wood, a couple of miles north of Newby Bridge on the eastern shore of Windermere. Approaching from the south, exit the A590 at Newby Bridge onto the A592 heading north for approx 2 miles. Very shortly past the Town Head Wedding Venue, look out for the Green Man Survival banners at entrance on the left. Approaching from Windermere town/Bowness-on-Windermere, head south on the A592 for approximately 7 miles. Look out for the Green Man Survival banners at the entrance on the right.
