The Esk Gorge – Extreme Ghyll Scrambling in Eskdale
Ghyll Scrambling for adventurers! The ultimate all-day adventure – not for the faint hearted!
Set in one of the most picturesque parts of the Lake District National Park in the upper Eskdale valley. Remote, off the beaten track and accessed by a 45-minute walk, you’ll be surrounded by towering mountains such as Scafell Pike and Bowfell. With this magnificent backdrop, you’ll discover a fabulous playground of waterfalls, rocks and big jumps (up to 8 metres in height).
There are loads of options in this ghyll. It is very open with various access points. All jumps and scrambles are optional.
Minimum age of 14 and a reasonable level of fitness required as this is a very physical day.
