Discover the new journey of a river, in the heart of secluded Swindale Valley.
This guided exploration of Swindale Valley will introduce you to the wildlife and habitats benefiting from the ‘rebending’ of Swindale Beck.
From Salmon to Dippers, Red Deer and Dragonflies, we will explore woodlands and meadows, surrounded by dramatic crags, in search of the valley’s wild inhabitants as we follow the river upstream toward Hobgrumble Gill, stopping for a break at beautiful Swindale Falls.
You will also discover tales of folklore of the animals, plants and landscapes of the area, as you adventure through one of the Lake District’s most beautiful, secluded valleys.
