Something to Say Family Workshops

Running across the summer holidays there are creative workshops for families taking place at Windermere Jetty Museum.

Please check dates & times below and via the workshop links provided.

There’s a chance to build LEGO mosaics, design soundscapes, create collages, do theatre, dance and develop creative writing.

Some events are bookable and some are drop-in. Part of the ‘Something to Say’ series of creative activities for children, young people and families at Lakeland Arts. See venue website for full details.

LEGO mosaic building
If you love building things with LEGO come along to make mosaics and models. Suitable for all ages.
26-30 Jul: 12-4pm

Theatre and dance
Join these action packed, fun filled workshops where you get the chance to create your very own performance piece, led by professional theatre company The Knotted Project.
2-6 Aug: 12-1pm (7 -10 years) | 2 – 4pm (11-15 years)

Sonic Arts
How can you make art with sound? Suitable for 7+
9-13 Aug: 12-4pm

Junk Golf
Design, build and play your very own miniature golf course, made entirely out of junk!
13-14 Aug: 12-4pm

Creative Writing
Do you enjoy stories and writing? In this workshop you’ll get to develop creative writing inspired by the backdrops of the Lake District National Park and its history which features in lots of poetry, short stories and more.
16-20 Aug: 12-4pm

Design and architecture
Space Black advocate for a diverse and socially inclusive approach to design. Five creative workshops explore themes of architecture, maps, utopias and landscape using drawing, collage and construction. Suitable for ages 7+
23-27 Aug: 12-4pm

Art Machines
Bolton Contemporary invites you to make analogue art and model boats that references the technology and industrial past of Victorian era Windermere. Suitable for all ages.
30 Aug-3 Sep: 12-4pm
