Kate Reid trained at Central School of Art in London in textile design, which led to work as a freelance knitwear designer and textile specialist in a Lancashire museum. She now runs her own successful costume hire company, designing and making bespoke costumes for both theatre productions and film. Kate is an inspiring teacher; she has loads of experience and has run needle felt workshops for a range of ages.
This workshop costs £70 and includes a tasty 2 course lunch with home baked bread and cake with refreshments throughout the day. We like to finish the day with a cup of tea and slice of cake. You need to bring your own fabric, a zip and matching spool of thread.
This workshop will be at Cowshed Creative, based in a traditional converted Lakeland barn in the beautiful Kentmere Valley at Browfoot Farm, Nr. Staveley, LA8 9JQ
The art studio is a stunning open plan space with plenty of room to wander outside and take inspiration from the amazing Lakeland landscape and environment of the peaceful Kentmere valley.
