Mosaic in a Day with Kay Banks
Join us for a fun and relaxing day learning the art of mosaic. Create a colourful plaque to hang outside or to decorate a wall indoors, a trivet for those hot pots on your table or brighten up coffee breaks with your own mosaic tray. Treat yourself to a great day out and take home an original mosaic of your own.
Check out our website: www.farmpods.co.uk/cowshed-creative for more info.
Kay Sandham Banks lives in Windermere and has extensive experience teaching Art and Design, Photography and Design Technology to a wide range of age groups. She recently completed a PGCTA in Therapeutic Arts. She has worked on a number of impressive large scale mosaics and can give you great advice and tips as you learn to develop your own designs.
The workshop fee is £70 and includes a tasty 2 course lunch with home baked bread and cake and refreshments throughout the day. We like to finish the day with a cup of tea and slice of cake. Eat outside or enjoy lunch by the wood burner.
This workshop will be at Cowshed Creative, based in a traditional converted Lakeland barn at Browfoot Farm. The art studio is a stunning open plan space with plenty of room to wander outside and take inspiration from the amazing Lakeland landscape and environment of the peaceful Kentmere valley. Make it a special break and stay on the farm.
