Mexican Day of the Dead festivities unfold over two days in an explosion of colour and life-affirming joy at the beginning of November. Join the celebrations and create your own exotic shrine using papier-mâché modelling techniques, paint and collage.
Kay Sandham Banks is based in Windermere. She has extensive experience teaching Art and Design, Photography and Design Technology to Secondary and Primary pupils in Tower Hamlets, Kennington and Wandsworth as well as teaching Adults for Camberwell Probation Service. Recently she has completed a PGCTA in Therapeutic Arts. Kay is a fun and bubbly teacher who will inspire great ideas and inventive approach.
The workshop fee is £70 and includes a tasty 2 course lunch with home baked bread and cake and refreshments throughout the day. We like to finish the day with a cup of tea and slice of cake. Eat outside or enjoy lunch by the wood burner.
This workshop will be at Cowshed Creative, based in a traditional converted Lakeland barn at Browfoot Farm. The art studio is a stunning open plan space with plenty of room to wander outside and take inspiration from the amazing Lakeland landscape and environment of the peaceful Kentmere valley. Make it a special break and stay on the farm.
