Lake District 6 Peaks Challenge

The 6 Peaks Challenge is a good introduction to the world of challenge events. It is a hard walk but attainable by most reasonably fit people. It is also known as the Buttermere Horse Shoe and is a lovely walk with stunning views of the Buttermere valley, Ennerdale and Borrowdale.
Distance 23km, 1700m of ascent. Estimated time 10 hours.
Peaks climbed – Red Pike, High Style, High Crag, Haystacks, Dale Head, Robinson.
Half way round there is an opportunity to drop out at Honister Pass where there is a cafe and toilets.
What’s included:
One nights B + B accommodation in a Guest House in Keswick. (We can book more nights for you).
Transport to Buttermere with a support vehicle and staff on hand in the valley to assist if you are injured or need to drop out of the event.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water available at Honister pass.
Transport from the finish – Buttermere back to Keswick.
Experienced and qualified Mountain Guides walking with the groups in a ratio of 1 to 8
The guides will carry 1st Aid kits, group shelters and radios.
