Knife making : Blacksmithing Introduction at Moorforge

Join David Watson for a day on the forge creating a forged blade.
Learn the basics of blacksmithing and enjoy the great surroundings of Moorforge Viking Settlement.
Budding blacksmiths aged 11-16 can join a parent or guardian to learn the skill together.
Hot & cold drinks, lunch and snacks are provided, as well as access to the Viking site. Please let us know of any dietary requirements prior to the day.
Workshop is limited to 4 people plus 2 juniors to get the maximum benefit of the day.
Adult: £80 / Junior blacksmith: £20
Venue: Moorforge Viking Settlement, Gilcrux, CA15 6TP
Please note: Junior blacksmiths are the responsibility of their guardian at all times. Junior ticket must be purchased with at least one full paying adult ticket. For legal reasons juniors cannot make their own knife to take away but do help their adult make theirs. The site is a working forge, smallholding and educational facility.
