Herdwick Fell Gather

Nook Farm, Rosthwaite, CA12 5XB

The Herdwick Sheep Breeders’ Association and the Farmer Network are holding a Fell Gather event inviting members of the public to meet the shepherds and the sheep that have shaped the Lake District’s World Heritage landscape over generations.
The event, which will be held on Sunday 17th June 2018 at Nook Farm, Rosthwaite, will give visitors the opportunity to have a guided tour of this traditional Lake District hill farm.  There will also be talks explaining the different Cumbrian sheep breeds, demonstrations of sheep dog handling, shearing, dry stone walling and preparing Herdwick sheep for sale.
The event will take place from 11am to 3.30pm and is free of charge. All welcome but dogs on leads please.
