Hand Building Pottery and Raku Firing 2 day course
This two day course runs on the 5th and 12th May 2023
Raku is a really amazing process that includes firing your own pots outside in a custom made ‘open’ kiln to create unique patterns and designs on your pieces.
The first day you will develop hand-building skills to create a range of pots or models that will exploit raku glaze effects.
The following week, prepare for an exciting workshop working with an outdoor kiln with controlled use of fire and smoke!
Includes some great tuition, a stunning venue and a tasty, two-course lunch. Tea and coffee throughout the day and a slice of cake to finish.
Venue: Cowshed Creative, Browfoot Farm, Staveley, Nr. Kendal
Workshop fee: £170 | Additional material fee for glaze/stains and both biscuit and gas firing £12 |
Clay is charged by unfired weight: £1 per Kg
