Gilcrux Scarecrow Festival – The Vikings are Coming!
Join us in Gilcrux Village for a weekend of Viking and Scarecrow fun. The theme for 2019 is The Vikings!
With guest collaborators, Moorforge Viking Settlement.
As well as Scarecrow displays across the village all weekend, on Sunday 5th May there will be a display on the village green from Moorforge Vikings with information on the Norse settlements history, food and tradings displays.
A Viking Weapons Display will be held on the village green on Sunday 5th May at 2.00 pm. Not to be missed!
Venue: Gilcrux Village, Near Cockermouth.
Also at this location on the same weekend – St Mary’s Flower Festival (and Afternoon Tea on Sunday).
Both Pubs in the village will be open from 12 pm to late on both days, both serving great food at lunchtimes and evenings. Booking is recommended for meals.
