Eco-Camp at Windermere Jetty

Banish summer boredom with a unique Eco-Camp at Windermere Jetty.
This four-day-long ecology themed camp is ideal for 7-11 year olds interested in protecting the environment.
During the week children will investigate and focus on the ecology of the lake and become Environment Champions while gaining a Superstar CREST Award. Children will find out about the lake, hunt for bugs, help save bees, explore our trees and birds on site.

The four days of activity include:
Tuesday 27 August: Water: Tour of the Museum / introduction to lake formation and water cycle / setting up monitoring points to record water data / beck and lake dipping / fun DIY water cycle games.
Wednesday 28 August: Bugs and Bees: Camouflaged creators and butterfly hunt / brilliance of bees / design a bug hotel.
Thursday 29 August: Trees and Plants: Biodiversity investigation / recycling and reusing / planting seeds / fun bee games.
Friday 30 August: Birds: Brilliant birds /Bird box construction / creating your favourite creature of the week / fun games and presenting work to parents/guardians.
Location: Windermere Jetty, Rayrigg Road, Windermere, LA23 1BN
Cost: The week-long activity costs £100 per child. There are just 15 places available.
