Conservation Day at Bampton Common
We have been using contractors with excavators to cover eroded peatland with turf.
The conservation day will consist of walking over this work, tidying and replacing loose turf plus transplanting plants into the bare patches.
Attendees must be fit enough to walk to the moorland site safely. Unfortunately the remote site has no facilities.
Lifts maybe available from Kendal, Penrith or Lancaster. For more information please contact Simon Thomas on 07724148451 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Venue: Bampton Common, Moorahill Farm, Bampton, Eden, Cumbria, CA10 2Ql
