Armboth Fell peatland survey day
Help us undertake a peatland survey on this area of land above Thirlmere reservoir.
The National Trust and United Utilities are hoping to recreate wetlands on eroding ground above Derwentwater and Thirlmere reservoir, and CWT are going to write a plan for them. If you would like to be involved, we will be surveying the whole fell to measure the depth of the peat bogs, habitat types as well as mapping the areas of eroding ground.
No specialist skills/ knowledge required, although certainly welcome!
