As with scrambling, this activity allows us to explore the rockier areas of the Lake District. A rope will be used quite frequently and a mountaineering day may include the ascent of an ‘easier’ rock climb. Our intentions will be to explore the big mountain crags, picking our way through various challenges in a bid to reach a summit. Very satisfying days out. Website : www.mountain-journeys.co.uk
