'Set Sail for Maryport'

This town portrait for the web was commissioned for promotional purposes by Maryport Regeneration early in 2006.

Delighted with this short film, Maryport Regeneration then developed a comprehensive portrayal of the town of Maryport together with J.A.L. Film Productions.

The result was the DVD “Maryport Medley” - so christened because it consists not of one film but of three – all showing various vibrant aspects of Maryport life and culture, including the Blues Festival and the Carnival. All the films also include interviews with local people and visitors, giving a balanced and positive view of this delightful harbour town on the Solway Coast in the Western Lake District.
