The small village of Drigg is set in low-lying land on the coast between the Esk estuary at Ravenglass, and Seascale.

The dunes, along with those at nearby Eskmeals, are both Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Drigg Railway Station serving the village of Drigg is a request stop on the scenic Cumbrian Coast Line, and has a coffee and craft Shop.

Drigg is the site of the UK's national low level radioactive waste repository.

St Peter's church built in 1850 is in the village.
