Tourist Information centres in Cumbria
The tourist information centres, or TIC's, provide information on what to see and do, entertainments and events, places of interest, travel and transport, and where to stay. They should have information on local accommodation, and most provide a free local booking service for personal callers. They also stock a variety of books and videos of local interest.
Many of the information centres are housed in buildings of architectural interest.
