Killington Hall

Killington Hall includes the ruins of a moated 15th century pele tower. The moat is now little more than a boggy stream surrounding the site on three sides. The hall sits just off the main road running through the village of Killington, opposite the small village church of All Saints. The pele is now nothing more than a shell, the sandstone windows surviving intact. There are no floors in the tower now, and there is even an outhouse built within the remains.

The tower is easy to reach, being on a public footpath to the church, although the gardens are obviously privately owned and cannot be entered. The footpath affords excellent views of the remains
