Fell Foot Park and Garden was a typical late Victorian garden of rhododendrons, oaks and pines and, although the house that it once surrounded has long since been demolished, the National Trust is undertaking a programme to restore it to its former glory.

The attractive seven hectare grounds are open throughout the year for you and your family to enjoy. It is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of modern life and its lawns offer a place where families can relax, picnic and play in safety.

Regular ferry sailings from Fell Foot Park to Lakeside (just across the bottom end of Windermere), connect with the steam trains of the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.The Aquarium of the Lakes is situated at Lakeside Station, and there is a restaurant on the Pier with panoramic views of Windermere.

Rowing boats may be hired from near the tea room. There is a shop offering a wide range of National Trust gifts, as well as locally produced items. The tea room offers light lunches, teas and coffees.
