View to the stone from the road, with the West Coast Railway line in the background.
Low House standing stone is really massive. It appears to be made from the same type of rock as Long Meg and Mayburgh. It is a similar size to the standing stone of Mayburgh. Its great to find such a stone, that is virtually unknown. Magic.
This stone stands directly between Long Meg and Blencathra... a ley perhaps?
Aerial photo by Simon Ledingham. Other photos by Nicola Didsbury.
The stone is beside the West Coast railway line, and is close to junction 41 on the M6, just north of Penrith.
