At the north end of Boroughgate is the Moot Hall, with a plaque above the door dated 1596, and now used as the Tourist Information Centre.
The TIC provides information on what to see and do, entertainments and events, places of interest, travel and transport, and where to stay. It has information on local accommodation, and provides a free local booking service for personal callers.
