With a collection of several hundred animals, a day out at the Lake District Wildlife Park will give you an opportunity to see both domestic and more exotic animals, many in natural open enclosures.

There are lively lemur troops, giant bison from the American plains, gibbons, zebra, deer, rare breed domestic animals, birds of prey, and a variety of reptiles.

Set in 25 acres, there is plenty to see, including falconry displays, and talks about the more exotic animals, with feeding of the animals taking place several times each day. There are tractor rides, and an adventure playground.

Picnic and rest and play areas are provided, and there is a restaurant and shop.

Thoroughly tested by the Visit Cumbria small beasts and deemed a brilliant day out.
