Each year on the sunday before the August bank holiday, the Eskdale Fete takes place at the Outward Bound Centre in Cumbria. Entertainment, stalls, children's activities, and a chance to explore the magnificent grounds of Gatehouse, Eskdale.

BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY – 29TH AUGUST 2010 - Gates open at 12.
£3 per adult, £1.50 children 3-16. Car parking FREE. Sorry no dogs.
The stunning grounds of the Outward Bound Centre in Eskdale, not normally open to the public, are the location for this popular annual event. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a walk around the tarn and appreciate the spectacular Lakeland scenery.
There is something for everyone at the Fete. Stalls will be packed with collectable books and bottles, plants, country produce and almost anything else you can think of - all at great prices.
There is lots of FREE, fun leisure equipment for the children including two bouncy castles, Punch & Judy shows, a craft room, face painting and a fancy dress competition at 2.30.
The Whitehaven Brass Band will be playing and more entertainment is provided by Jukalo, a juggler with a difference.
All this, along with the best tea and cakes in Cumbria, make this a not-to-be-missed annual event.
This is a vital fund raising event for the community and a wonderful day out. Please come and join us.
