Eskdale Fete provides a rare opportunity to enjoy the stunning grounds of the Outward Bound Centre with its magnificent views across the tarn to the mountains.

There is something for everyone at the Fete which attracts around 3,000 visitors each year. Entertainment is provided by Jukalo, a juggler with a difference, dancers and Punch and Judy. While the fabulous Whitehaven Brass Band play you can browse at stalls full of good quality books, bottles, plants, collectibles, country produce, clothes and almost anything else you can think of.

For the brave, a turn on the zip wire (which is the second longest in Europe) will be a must. Children can play on many items of FREE fun equipment, have their faces painted and take part in a fancy dress competition.

Refreshments are available along with the best tea and cakes in Cumbria. Gates open at 12.00. Its £3 for adults, £1.50 for children aged between 3 and 16. Sorry, no dogs are allowed. Car parking is free or why not travel to the Fete on the famous Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and enjoy much more than a train ride through the beautiful countryside?

This is a vital fund raising event for the community and a wonderful day out. Please come and join us.
