St Luke's, Ousby Townhead, with Cross Fell behind. Easter 2006.
St Luke's Church lies outside the village of Ousby, to the East. It is built of local stone and dates from the 12th or early 13th century, fell into a ruinous state in the late 14th century, and was almost entirely rebuilt in 1858.
There are two stained glass windows - the three light East window contains an image of St Luke by John Scott of Carlisle. The other window - in the south east of the nave - 'Pro Patria' - is a memorial to those who fell in World War I.
