'Nenthead - St John the Evangelist's Church'

The church of St John the Evangelist in Nenthead, the highest church in England, was designed in 1845 by Ignatius Bonomi and John Augustus Cory, who later became the Cumberland County Architect. It was built and consecrated on land given by the London Lead Company.
