The Millennium Gallery - Listening Wall.
The Millennium Gallery, opened in summer 2001, under the road outside the Museum, contains fine and decorative arts, a good collection of local minerals and archaeology, and the 'listening wall' in which are fitted many small speakers, where you can listen to the voices and thoughts of local people. The other side of the listening wall is the new subway which links Tullie House to Carlisle Castle.
