'Cumbria Photographs by Andy Wallace'

Andy Wallace on Great End, 24 April 2004.

The Visitcumbria.com website shows photographs by a variety of photographers, and this page gives contact details for Andy Wallace.

Andy was born in Manchester and spent all of his life in the north-west but only started walking in 1997. Walking the hills - mainly in the Lake District - is now the main focus of his life. He began writing about his walks in 2001 when foot and mouth disease closed the fells, and he met other walkers via the internet.

Andy bought his first camera in 2002 and began taking photographs while out on walks. He enjoyed the writing and photography, it was a way of doing the walks again, and decided to share his experiences with others in September of that year; thus andyfellwalker was born.

He now spends almost every weekend walking in the Lake District except for when he is walking with like-minded friends in the mountains of Scotland and Wales, and hills in other parts of England.

When time permits and he is driving through Cumbria, he sometimes stops in the villages to explore and take photographs.

Most of his photos are from the hills, and can be inspirational or frightening depending on the weather.

Andy's website is at Share the Fell Walking Experience!

If you want to use any of his photographs - as a print, or to use for publication, or on another website - please contact Andy directly via his website.
