The Homes of Football is the work of Stuart Clarke, the Football Trust photographer,
and official photographer at World Cup '98.
The aim of his photographic and artistic mission has been to record the changing face
of the game in the wake of the Hillsborough tragedy in 1989.
This is a must for any football fan. It is an excellent collection of oustanding photographs which truly capture the passion of the game. |
Stuart has photographed games and grounds on over 3000 occasions, returning each time to his home in the Lake District, where the collection is now housed. The archive has collected some 60,000 images and is continuing to grow.
In Feb 2007, after 10 years as simply The Homes of Football, the galleries at Lake Road were rebranded 'Football Photography & The World'. And to celebrate this change, every month there were three new shows by Stuart Clarke across all three disciplines : that is to say a Football show; a Photography show; a World show.
In 2008 much of the work will appear in 3 new Clarke books : 1. “England & Scotland, The Cradle of the Game” 2. “Scenes from A British summer country pop music festival” 3. “Cumbria Surrounded”:
