Hot Air Ballooning is the ultimate flying experience, floating over scenic countryside at heights of between 500 and 5,000 feet. From arrival at the launch site you will be invited to assist with the inflation, which usually takes about 30 mins.
Usually the first half hour or so at high altitude up to 5,000 ft for a panoramic view of the countryside. The second half of the flight is at lower levels so as to relate to wild life and scenic countryside.
After the flight, the crew with your help will pack away the balloon. Then in the balloonists' tradition you will be presented with a glass of chilled champagne, and a commemorative Flight Certificate.
A balloon ride over the Lakes is the perfect way for you to mark any event - birthdays, anniversaries, or even a proposal of marriage.
Flying is at the beginning and end of the day when the air is stable, as the thermal activity of the sun heating the ground causes instability during the day. Times are typically 6.00am and 6.30pm.
